Teaching Experience

I have served as Teaching Assistant (TA) for the following courses:

  • Winter 2026 — ICS51: Introduction to Computer Organization with Prof. Eli Bozorgzadeh
    • Redesigned laboratory curriculum to feature a capstone project on building a K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) classifier using MIPS assembly, bridging low-level programming with machine learning concepts.
    • Held weekly instructional labs to assist students with assembly language debugging and architectural concepts.
    • Designed and graded exams for a class of 230+ students, providing detailed feedback to support learning objectives.
    • Conducted office hours, answered questions on online forum (Ed Discussion) and managed course logistics on Canvas.
  • Fall 2025 — CS178: Machine Learning and Data Mining with Prof. Alexander C. Berg
    • Introduced the course project and conducted in-person project evaluations for 300+ students.
    • Led weekly discussion sections to review lecture material and demonstrate concepts through hands-on coding in Python using Jupyter Notebooks.
    • Conducted office hours, resolved inquiries on online forum (Ed Discussion) and managed course logistics on Canvas.
  • Spring 2025 — ICS51: Introduction to Computer Organization with Prof. Alexandru Nicolau
    • Designed and graded exams for a class of 300+ students, providing detailed feedback to support learning objectives.
    • Conducted office hours, answered questions on online forum (Ed Discussion) and managed course logistics on Canvas.
  • Winter 2025 — CS151: Digital Logic Design with Prof. Mohsen Imani
    • Delivered 3 guest lectures to a class of 67 students, including a 3-hour tutorial on Verilog HDL, sequential circuits, and problem solving.
    • Led weekly discussion sections to review lecture material and demonstrate concepts through hands-on coding in Verilog using EDA Playground.
    • Designed and graded homeworks, midterm, and final exams.
  • Fall 2024 — ICS51: Introduction to Computer Organization with Prof. Nikil D. Dutt and Prof. Eli Bozorgzadeh
    • Helped students troubleshoot MIPS assembly code and understand the 5-stage MIPS processor pipeline during office hours.
    • Collaborated with the teaching team to design and grade midterms and finals for 330+ students, ensuring consistent evaluation standards.
  • Winter 2024 — ICS51: Introduction to Computer Organization with Prof. Amirali Baniasadi
    • Supported student learning in MIPS assembly and pipeline architecture through targeted troubleshooting during office hours.
    • Collaborated with the teaching team to design and grade midterms and finals for 330+ students, ensuring consistent evaluation standards.
  • Fall 2023 — ICS32A: Python Programming with Libraries with Mr. Alexander Thornton
    • Mentored students on best practices for software development, focusing on modularity and the use of external libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
    • Conducted extensive office hours to help students debug logic errors and resolve environment configuration issues.
    • Provided detailed code reviews on programming assignments to help students improve algorithm efficiency and code readability.
